Invitation to a Reception to Launch A Call to Purpose

Join us for a casual evening of connection and inspiration 

Dear friends,

You are invited to an informal reception to mark the launch of A Call to Purpose—a call to action from CEOs to CEOs, inviting them to lead the way toward a social purpose economy in Canada. This is an opportunity, sponsored by Coast Capital and hosted by Quinn+Partners, to mix and mingle with the Toronto social purpose community and to hear from the following.

  • Coro Strandberg is the President of Strandberg Consulting, Chair of the Canadian Purpose Economy Project, co-founder of the United Way BC Social Purpose Institute and faculty member for Directors College and Governance Professionals of Canada training directors and governance professionals on ESG and purpose governance. She has helped over two dozen businesses develop and implement a social purpose.
  • Christelle François is the Chair of the Table of Impact Investment Practitioners, former President of the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce, and a ‘Champion’ of the Canadian Purpose Economy Project. Through her firm, Untold & Co, Christelle supports public and government relations strategies.
  • Maureen Young is the Vice President of Social Purpose at Coast Capital where she plays a key role in defining the credit union’s social purpose, leads the development and implementation of Coast Capital’s long-term social purpose impact plan and integration of social purpose across company operations. Maureen is also a proud founding member of the Canadian Purpose Economy Project.

Discussions will be moderated by Mike Rowlands, President & CEO of Junxion Strategy, founding member of the Canadian Purpose Economy Project, and a B Corp Ambassador.

This group of purposeful leaders will share the story and intentions behind A Call to Purpose, and update attendees on the Canadian Purpose Economy Project and its progress toward mobilizing the Canadian ecosystem to help social purpose businesses to start, transition, thrive, and grow.
